Avowed’s “Year-One Glow-Up” Lands on PS5 (and Everyone Gets Patch 2.0)

Avowed just hit PS5 at the same time its big Anniversary Update (Patch 2.0) rolled out across platforms. The headline features are New Game+, expanded character creation (including new playable species), a new weapon type (Quarterstaff), Photo Mode, and a pile of quality-of-life changes.

What it means for gamers: this is the “best time to start (or restart)” effect. If you bounced off at launch, Patch 2.0 is basically Obsidian saying “we heard you” with a reason to replay and a smoother on-ramp for new players—especially with New Game+ turning builds into long-term hobbies instead of one-and-done runs.
