LEGO’s retro console lineup may be expanding again this summer. According to reliable LEGO leaker 'a.clay.brick' on Instagram, a Sega Genesis (also known as the Mega Drive outside North America) set is scheduled for release on August 1, 2026. The set is rumored to be numbered 10394, contain 735 pieces and retail for $89.99.

This fits perfectly with LEGO’s recent strategy of targeting nostalgic gamers. The company has already produced detailed brick-built versions of the Nintendo Entertainment System, Atari 2600 and the Pac-Man arcade cabinet. A Sega Genesis would be the logical next step, especially given LEGO’s existing partnership with Sega for Sonic the Hedgehog playsets.

The piece count suggests a smaller, more affordable model than the massive NES set, perhaps closer in scale to the Atari 2600 build. While Sega has not commented, the timing makes sense for the holiday 2026 shopping season.
