METRO 2039 IS OFFICIALLY REVEALED — Winter release window, new survival horror anxiety scheduled

Deep Silver and 4A Games pulled the curtain back on Metro 2039, with a winter 2026 launch window and the usual promise that it’s the “darkest” Metro yet.

What it means for gamers: Metro is the anti-comfort game: slower, scarier, moodier, and allergic to power fantasies. The good news is single-player story FPS is alive and still knows how to do atmosphere. The funny consequence: fans will immediately argue whether it should be more “Exodus open zones” or “classic tunnel terror,” and nobody will be happy until they see raw gameplay.
