Xbox Cloud Gaming gets a new web experience in public preview

Microsoft is testing a refreshed web experience for Xbox Cloud Gaming, with updated navigation and a redesigned look-and-feel available to players who opt into the preview.

UI changes sound minor until they aren’t: cloud gaming lives or dies on friction. Faster discovery, clearer library browsing, and better controller-first layouts can meaningfully change session time and retention.

Because it’s a preview, rough edges are expected—and features may be missing or behave differently. But the existence of a public test suggests Microsoft is iterating quickly on the “play anywhere” story, especially as more devices lean on cloud streaming rather than local installs.
