ARC RAIDERS TURNS INTO A THERAPY ROOM WITH GUNS: PLAYERS ARE TALKING MORE THAN SHOOTING

ARC RAIDERS TURNS INTO A THERAPY ROOM WITH GUNS: PLAYERS ARE TALKING MORE THAN SHOOTING

New reporting digs into a weird, wholesome twist in Arc Raiders: a meaningful chunk of the playerbase uses proximity chat and cooperates instead of treating every encounter like a mugging.

What it means for gamers: this is big for the extraction genre. Extraction games usually assume everyone is a shark. Arc Raiders is accidentally proving a lot of players are… stressed mammals who want to vibe, team up, and survive the robots together. That changes the “feel” of the whole game: instead of constant paranoia, you get tense negotiations, impromptu alliances, and the rarest loot of all—trust. The funny consequence is the new social meta. You’ll have “friendly” players who genuinely want peace, and “friendly” players who want your backpack. Every encounter becomes a roleplay audition: are you an ally, a liar, or someone with a hot mic who just said “I’m going to betray them” out loud?
