PS PLUS EXTRA/PREMIUM APRIL LINEUP: “YOU THOUGHT YOU’D FINISH YOUR BACKLOG?” CUTE.

PS PLUS EXTRA/PREMIUM APRIL LINEUP: “YOU THOUGHT YOU’D FINISH YOUR BACKLOG?” CUTE.

Sony revealed the April PS Plus Game Catalog additions (Extra/Premium), landing April 21. Headliners include The Crew Motorfest and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, plus Football Manager 26 Console, Warriors: Abyss, Squirrel with a Gun, The Casting of Frank Stone, and Monster Train. Premium also gets Wild Arms 4.

What it means for gamers: this is the subscription equivalent of someone bringing a second buffet table into the room and refusing to acknowledge that you’re already holding a plate. It’s great value, but it’s also a lifestyle choice: you don’t “play” PS Plus months like this—you move into them. The real impact is social: Horizon Remastered gives everyone the same nostalgia spark at once, so guides, screenshots, and “I can’t believe this still rules” posts explode. Meanwhile Motorfest is the “convince your friend group to reinstall” pick: racing games thrive when your crew shows up. The funny part is that this lineup will cause thousands of identical conversations: “We should totally play co-op.” (Nobody schedules it.) “I’ll start Horizon again.” (They do, then immediately get distracted by Squirrel with a Gun.) “I’ll finally try Football Manager.” (They lose three real-life evenings to one in-game week.)
