Xbox Turns Fanta into a Loot Box (Literally)

Xbox’s 25th-anniversary Fanta promo starts today: scan QR codes on special cans/bottles to play mini “challenges” and redeem in-game cosmetics/rewards (plus sweepstakes-style prizes). It’s a massive marketing push that turns your soda habits into a quest log.

What it means for gamers: if you already buy soda, congrats—you’ve unlocked “marketing side quests.” If you don’t, this is pure optional FOMO. Expect lobbies full of loud orange cosmetics and at least one friend asking if “a screenshot of the QR code” counts (it won’t).
