Nintendo reconfirms major Switch 2 release windows, including Yoshi, Star Fox and Splatoon Raiders

Nintendo has reconfirmed release windows for several major upcoming Switch 2 games, giving players a clearer look at the system’s near-term first-party calendar. Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is still set for May 21, Star Fox follows on June 25, and Splatoon Raiders is scheduled for July 23. Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave remains listed for 2026, while Pokémon Winds & Waves is still down for 2027. Rhythm Heaven Groove is also confirmed for Switch on July 2. For Switch 2 owners, this matters because the system’s early library has been carried by a mix of Nintendo names, Capcom momentum and third-party ports. A monthly cadence of Yoshi, Star Fox and Splatoon helps make the platform feel alive through the summer, even if players are still waiting for the next massive 3D Mario or Zelda-scale announcement. Nintendo also highlighted upcoming third-party games including Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, 007 First Light and The Adventures of Elliot. The hardware price increase may dominate headlines, but the software schedule is what will determine whether players stay excited.
