May 2026 opens with Constance, SoulQuest, Gambonanza and several new PC releases

May 2026 starts with a smaller but varied release slate, giving players a mix of ports, horror, strategy, platforming and experimental indie games. Insider Gaming’s release calendar lists Constance for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Switch, Crimson Oath for PC, Dark Pals: The 1st Floor for PC, Devil of the Plague in Early Access on PC, Gambonanza for PC and mobile, and SoulQuest for Switch and PC.

This is not the kind of day dominated by one giant blockbuster, but it is exactly the kind of launch window where smaller games can find focused attention before the mid-month rush. For PC players, May starts with horror and soulslike action. For Switch owners, SoulQuest and Constance add more side-scrolling adventure options. For mobile players, Gambonanza offers a compact strategy concept that could work well in short sessions.

The broader importance is that May is clearly stacked, with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Subnautica 2, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, Forza Horizon 6 and other major releases later in the month. May 1 is the warm-up act, but there are still several interesting games worth watching.
