SoulQuest prepares to launch on PC and Switch with 2D platforming action

SoulQuest is another May 1 indie release worth tracking, especially for fans of 2D platforming action. Steam lists the game with a planned release date of May 1, while Insider Gaming’s release calendar places it on both Switch and PC. Metacritic also lists SoulQuest as a PC and Nintendo Switch release from developer SoulBlade Studio LLC and publisher indie.io.
The game is still somewhat under-the-radar compared with bigger May releases, but that can work in its favor if it delivers a clean, responsive platforming loop. In a crowded market, 2D action games need three things quickly: movement that feels good, combat or obstacle design that escalates fairly, and enough visual identity to stand apart from dozens of similar releases.
SoulQuest’s cross-platform positioning suggests it is aimed at players who like portable-friendly adventure games and shorter session structures. For Switch owners, it could fit well as a pick-up-and-play platformer, while PC players can try the demo and decide whether it deserves a wishlist or purchase.
